Randolph Man Charged for DWI After Byram Crash

A Randolph man has been charged with drunk driving after crashing his car in Byram. On Thursday, November 8 Cooper Todd Sauter reportedly crashed his car just before 2 p.m. on Sparta-Stanhope Road.

When police officers arrived, Sauter was allegedly slurring his speech, failed field sobriety tests, had an open alcoholic beverage container and a hypodermic syringe in the car.

The 30-year-old is bring charged with the following:

  • Driving while intoxicated
  • Possession of a hypodermic syringe
  • Open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle
  • Reckless driving
  • Failure to maintain lane
