The vehicle used in the Hampton Lowe's Home Improvement burglary was found burnt to a crisp in Newark on Tuesday. This is the latest development as police continue to investigate the burglary.

The suspect reportedly stole an undisclosed number of snowblowers around 5:30 a.m. on Monday before fleeing the scene in a white pickup truck. Police and state troopers tried to stop the vehicle but broke off the pursuit both times due to safety concerns.

During the chase, the suspect sideswiped an unknown number of cars on Route 80 near the Rockaway Mall. Luckily no one was seriously injured during the pursuit but an East Stroudsburg resident told the New Jersey Herald his car was totaled after being hit by the truck.
