Pennsylvania Couple Faces Charges For Housing 240 Exotic Animals

Two Pennsylvania residents are being charged after allegedly housing 240 exotic animals in their home. Jason Wieder and Melanie Rehrig are each facing five felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and other misdemeanor charges in Montgomery County. Police reportedly found both dead and live animals at the residence, including turtles, alligators, ferrets, and snakes. 

The couple is also facing charges in Lehigh County from a raid in which officers found five dead animals and 81 living animals in a home. The animals in that situation ranged from pigs and dogs to birds and snakes.
