Rockaway Townsquare mall is getting a makeover! The 41-year-old shopping center, owned by Simon Property Group, will be renovated next year to give it a more modern look but don't worry, all parts of the mall will be open during construction.
The list of upgrades include renovating the food court, new light fixtures, new flooring, wall finishes, and even seating areas with built-in phone charging stations.
According to NorthJersey.com, a new children's play area will also be constructed and it will be designed to "enable developmental activities such as balance, spatial association, aerobic challenges, and unique active video experiences."
The renovation is set to begin in January and be finished by fall of 2019.
