Homeless Man From Viral GoFundMe Scam to Return to NJ & Face Charges

The homeless vet from the viral GoFundMe campaign that turned out to be a scam will return to New Jersey to face charges for conspiracy and theft by deception. Johnny Bobbitt has been in Philadelphia for a violation of probation hearing on drug charges.

He's not the only one headed to court over the scam. Mark D’Amico and Kate McClure, of Burlington County, are facing the same charges and reportedly neither of them have been detained.

A few weeks ago McClure was suspended from her job as a receptionist for the NJ Department of Transportation.
