An apartment developer is suing Franklin after his plans for a 300-unit complex off Munsonhurst Road were rejected. Silk City Development LLC, Silk City Rentals LLC and JCM Investors 1012 LLC reportedly plan to file two more suits against Franklin Borough, the town council, mayor and Planning Board.

The suit is asking the court to order the development to be built in order to enforce New Jersey's affordable housing requirements. The building's plans called for a 300-unit complex of 10 buildings and with 60 apartments designated for affordable housing.
