The case of a Franklin man who was charged with possessing child pornography and using social media to have sexually explicit conversations with minors is headed to grand jury. Darryl Farrier was charged in August after detectives searched his home and found over 100 images child pornography.

The investigation into the Farrier started when the Vernon Township Police received a report that a "24-year-old named Matt", later identified as Farrier, was trying to meet a 15-year-old girl at a local deli. When officers searched the girl's phone they found sexually explicit messages sent through the app Whisper.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have information regarding this or other situations involving the 38-year-old to contact the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit at 973-383-1570.
