A Hardyston woman accused of stabbing a man at the Sussex Motel earlier this year has been offered a plea deal. The plea deal calls for Margaret Falconer to plead guilty to third-degree aggravated assault. In exchange, she would be sentenced to 364 days of home detention and a five-year probation term.

The 67-year-old stabbed an unidentified victim an unknown number of times in September. The victim was flown to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the New Jersey Herald, Falconer was initially charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. She faced up to 16.5 years in prison on those charges.
