Sparta Man Faces Drug Charges After Being Found in Parked Car

A Sparta man is facing drug charges after he was allegedly found asleep in his parked car with the windshield wipers on even though it wasn't raining. Jonathan Bell was reportedly slouched behind the seat of his 2010 Mustang on Waterloo Valley Road. 

A Mount Olive Police Officer reportedly detected the smell of raw and burnt marijuana coming from the car when speaking with Bell and during a search of the vehicle, he found a plastic container with wax suspected to be THC and a glass pipe.

The 27-year-old was charged with posession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
