Two days after jumping off the second story of a cattle truck on Route 80, Brianna the cow gave birth to her first calf. Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Wantage learned she was pregnant during a veterinary checkup following her daring escape from a slaughterhouse bound truck.

The sanctuary owner, Mike Stura, helped assist with the delivery after Brianna reportedly became frantic. Winter was born at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and her birth was documented on the sanctuary's Facebook page.

Now the mother and calf will live out the rest of their days in the pastures at Skylands Animal Sanctuary. You can donate to the sanctuary by visiting their website or the rescue's Facebook page.
