Mount Olive Police are warning residents to lock their cars after "a large number" of stolen and burglarized vehicles were reported. According to the New Jersey Herald, the incidents occurred between December 10 and December 24 and nearly all the cars that were broken into were unlocked or had the key fob inside.
The news follows a string of car thefts and burglaries in Sparta in which a 2009 Lexus G37x, 2016 Range Rover, and a Mercedes were stolen from a residences on Woodlawn Road, Balsam Parkway, and Maple Parkway.
