A judge has ruled that Wantage murder suspect Victor Razumov is competent to stand trial. The news comes six years after the murder of Virginia Sommer and four years after Razumov gouged his own eyes out.

The 24-year-old, who was diagnosed with schizoeffective disorder, is accused of slitting Sommer's throat in her Lake Neepaulin home while burglarizing it. He was caught on camera pawning jewelry that he allegedly stole from Sommer and is facing numerous charges, including first-degree felony murder.

A plea deal will reportedly be on the table within 20 days and if Razumov declines it, he'll be headed to trial.

Razumov's next court date is set for February 26.
