With singles accounting for two-thirds of all residents in New Jersey it's not surprising that married couples are the minority. In fact, the populations in hundreds of towns throughout the state are made up of singles.
NJ.com took a look at the 25 NJ towns with the largest percentage of single people. One Sussex County town even made the list. Newton was ranked 23rd with 65.7% of its population being single.
Here are the top three towns:
3. East Orange, Essex County - 75.1% of the population is single
2. New Brunswick, Middlesex County - 76% of the population is single
1. Camden, Camden County - 76.3% of the population is single
