A Vernon man has been charged with driving while under the influence after police say he caused a two-car accident on Route 15 on Friday. Brook Minondo is facing charges that include careless driving, failure to maintain lane, and failure to provide registration.
The 45-year-old, who was reportedly driving a 2017 Nissan Altima at the time of the accident, failed a series of field sobriety tests. He was later taken to police headquarters for breath testing, processed, and eventually released to a sober adult.
Luckily, no one was injured in the accident.
