Vernon Woman Dies Following Three-car Crash in Jefferson

A three-car crash on Green Pond Road killed a Vernon woman and caused and serious injuries to a Budd Lake resident last night, January 14. 

According to the Jefferson Police Department, Katelynn Campbell, of Vernon, was driving southwest when her Ford Taurus crossed into the opposite lane and struck Ashleigh Boissonault's Subaru head-on. Boissonault's car rolled over into an embankment and Campbell's car rolled over and struck a Nissan driven by Elizabeth Salomon, of Butler.

When police arrived at the scene Campbell's car was in flames. After they put out the blaze, the 25-year-old was medevaced to Hackensack University Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. Boissonault, 36, was medevaced to Morristown Medical Center and remains in critical condition.
