A fire believed to have been started by electricity destroyed a Wantage barn on Tuesday afternoon. The blaze was reportedly fueled by beeswax and hay that were stored inside the barn.
The owner of Top of the Mountain Honey Bee Farm, where the fire occurred, came home around 3 p.m. and noticed flames shooting from the barn. Eighteen units including first responders, EMS and law enforcement officers responded to the 911 call. They were reportedly able to control and diminish the fire within 20 minutes of arriving.
Luckily, no animals were in the barn during the fire.
