Two winter storms are headed our way. Here's what weather forecasters are predicting for Sussex County:
The National Weather Service is calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow on Thursday and less than 1 inch of snow on Friday. Saturday's forecast doesn't specify how much snow we'll get but the chance of precipitation is 60% during the day and 100% at night. Expect freezing rain and sleet on Sunday before 2pm.
Weather.com says we'll get 1 to 3 inches on Thursday night, 1 inch on Saturday morning, and 8 to 12 inches on Saturday night. Sunday will bring snow and ice accumulation up to 1 inch.
Weather Underground is forecasting 1 to 3 inches on Thursday night and 8 to 12 inches on Saturday with less than an inch of ice and snow on Sunday.
Accuweather is predicting 1 to 3 inches Thursday night into Friday. They're also saying we'll get 2-4 inches on Saturday starting in the afternoon and going into the night with a mix of snow and ice Saturday night.
There's a good chance schools will have delayed openings on Friday so be sure to stay up-to-date on closings, cancellations and delays on our website.
