High Point Regional High School's Board of Education has approved a new three-year contract for Superintendent Scott Ripley. They also approved a raise which will make him one of Sussex County's highest-paid school administrators.
The contract passed 5-3 in a vote by the BOE on Tuesday, January 22. Something interesting to note: the BOE reportedly hasn't completed a single written evaluation of the superintendent's job performance in the last four years even though yearly evaluations of all school employees are required by law.
Ripley's new contract will increase his salary each year and provide bonuses in the second and third years. He'll even get a monthly reimbursement for his cellphone and home internet, and a travel allowance.
