Franklin Borough was billed almost $170,000 from the Sussex County Municipal Utilities Authority for a 24% increase in wastewater. According to the New Jersey Herald , the Borough Council was told the payment is due by February 15.
The council reportedly said that the increase is due to "infiltration and inflow" and they plan to form a committee and work with the Department of Public Works to see how extra water is getting into the system.
