The state is investigating Andover Subacute & Rehab Center Two after a January 21 incident in which a resident wandered outside barefoot for 45 minutes. According to the New Jersey Herald , the 75-year-old woman was out in 10 degree weather without a coat and suffered serious frostbite.
The facility reportedly did not call 911 regarding the missing resident and police were only made aware of the situation after a family member of the woman notified them.
A spokesperson for the New Jersey Department of Health told the New Jersey Herald that a report on the matter would be finalized this month.
