Drunk Man Allegedly Assaulted Hopatcong Officers, Sent One to Hospital

A drunk man allegedly assaulted two police officers, sending one to the hospital, after his roommate called 911 because he was "worried he would stop breathing". According to the New Jersey Herald, Mark Autore was found unconscious by Hopatcong police officers but they were able to wake him.

Autore agreed to go to the hospital for treatment but his attitude changed after the ambulance squad arrived. The 40-year-old allegedly charged at Patrolman Edward Janosko and Patrolman Richard Bosland tried to wrestle Autore into handcuffs. Bosland reportedly ended up going to the hospital for a possible fractured or broken right hand.
