Branchville Residents Arrested on Drug-Related Charges

Two Branchville residents were reportedly arrested on drug-related charges after being pulled over for speeding in Newton on Sunday, February 17. According to the New Jersey Herald, police found heroin and marijuana in the car and said Tina Mahboub and Felix Torres had the intent to distribute over 330 bags of heroin.

They were charged with the following:

  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, specifically heroin
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute within 100 feet of a school zone
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Disorderly persons offense of less than 5 grams of marijuana.
