Police say a school bus driver was revived with Narcan on Wednesday afternoon after she crashed a school bus into a tree in Newark. According to NJ.com, the bus driver was high on heroin and 12 special-needs students were onboard when the crash occurred.
The driver, Lisa Byrd, has reportedly been charged with 12 counts of child endangerment, driving while impaired, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Video of the incident shows the school bus slowly crossing and intersection before jumping a curb. Luckily none of the children were hurt in the accident.
