President of Newton Roller Hockey League Arrested for Theft

A Stillwater man was arrested today, March 5, for allegedly using funds from the Newton Roller Hockey League for personal purchases. According to the Newton Police Department, James Krahling used the group's debit card to purchase numerous things for himself to the tune of $25,000.

Police say the investigation started after another signatory on the league bank account noticed unusual purchases.

The 45-year-old has been charged with third-degree theft of moveable property. His next court appearance is set for Wednesday, March 27.
