Hackettstown Woman Arrested for Intending to Distribute Heroin in Franklin

A Hackettstown woman who was on drug court probation has been charged with possession of heroin and distribution of heroin. According to the New Jersey Herald, Ashley Womack was arrested on Monday after an investigation determined that she would travel to Franklin to supply people with heroin.

The 33-year-old has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2010. At that time she was facing drug-related charges and was sentenced to the pre-trial intervention program. She was reportedly arrested in 2015 in Newton for possession of heroin which resulted in 241 days in jail and drug court probation.

According to the New Jersey Herald, Womack violated her probation in 2016 when she was arrested in Newton for drug-related charges and was arrested again in 2017 and subsequently jailed. She was reportedly sentenced to drug court probation for the 2015 and 2016 charges and received time served and a five-year drug court sentence for her 2017 charges.
