A Green Township man was arrested last week after allegedly pointing a gun at his sister and brother-in-law and threatening to kill them. According to the New Jersey Herald, Peter Trethewy was intoxicated and playing chess with two family members when an argument broke out.
He reportedly got into a fist fight with his brother-in law before grabbing a .177 caliber airsoft gun and threatening his sister and brother-in-law with it. The two managed to escape the home and Trethewy was later arrested.
On Monday a judge ruled that the 25-year-old will remain detained pending trial. Trethewy is facing 11 charges including third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and third-degree terroristic threats.
