You'll have to wait a bit longer for the American Dream Mega-mall at the Meadowlands to open. In early March Governor Phil Murphy said the establishment's opening date was pushed back to June but now NJ.com is reporting that the mall won't be opening until the fall.
However, an Instagram account that appears to have been set up by American Dream posted a photo on Monday with a caption that said "Coming late Summer!" So while you can't visit the long-awaited mall in June, you might be able to go before the kids head back to school.
At 3 million square feet American Dream will be the third largest center in North America and be comprised of 55% entertainment space and 45% retail space. Planned features include a Nickelodeon indoor theme park, an indoor ski park, a DreamWorks waterpark, and shops like Saks Fifth Avenue, Hermes, and Barney's New York.
We've waited over 16 years for the former Meadowlands Xanadu to open...what's a few more months?
