Megan's Law Offender Sentenced for Assault of Franklin Girl

A Megan's Law offender that sexually assaulted a Franklin girl was sentenced to 11 1/2 years in state prison on Friday, March 29. According to the New Jersey Herald, Robert Fedder III, admitted to engaging in sexual conduct with a female minor between the ages of 6 and 12-years-old and to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old.

The 32-year-old is reportedly a high-risk Megan's Law offender and was previously convicted for sex assault, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Teresa Nussbaum, the mother of the victim, also faced charges for knowingly putting her child in Fedder's care. The 49-year-old admitted to being aware of Fedder's Tier 3 sex offender status when she let him live with her and a female minor in her Franklin home. Nussbaum received a downgraded sentence of two days in the county jail and two years probation.
