Lafayette Man Charged with DWI After Blocking Traffic on Route 15

A Lafayette man was charged with driving while under the influence after blocking traffic. According to the New Jersey Herald, Donald Mattucci stopped his SUV in the northbound lane of Route 15 around 7pm on Wednesday, March 20.

The vehicle was reportedly moved out of the road by emergency personnel with St. Clare's Paramedics and when Sparta police arrived they determined Mattucci had been drinking. Officers had the 64-year-old perform field sobriety tests before arresting him.

In addition to the DUI charge, Mattucci is facing charges that include open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, obstructing traffic and careless driving.
