Underage Party in Byram Ended with One Person in Hospital, Another Arrested

An underage drinking party in the woods of Byram sent one person to the hospital and led to the arrest of another on Saturday, April 6. According to the Byram Police Department, officers discovered the party after being dispatched to a noise complaint on Forest Lakes Drive around 11pm.

When patrols started to disperse the party, some people fled into the woods. Michael Agens Jr., reportedly fell 20 feet off a rock ledge while trying to avoid the police and had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment. Additionally, several people had to be treated for "high levels of intoxication."

Another partygoer, Sean Marone, allegedly started throwing rocks at emergency vehicles and first responders. The 18-year-old reportedly fled into the woods when officers tried to arrest him and after a brief pursuit he was taken into custody.

Agens is facing a charge of underage possession of alcohol and Marone is facing charges of obstruction and resisting arrest by flight.
