A woman is facing up to 10 years in prison for almost striking a Stanhope Police Officer with her car on Route 183 near Lake Muconetcong. According to the New Jersey Herald, Sgt. Ryan Hickman was conducting a motor vehicle stop and being assisted by Patrolman Corey Kunzer when Hickman was almost struck by an SUV that failed to move over.

They attempted to pull the SUV over but the driver, Wenli Ma, allegedly ignored both patrol cars and didn't pull over until mile marker 33.8 in Wharton.

The 54-year-old was reportedly taken into custody, charged with second-degree eluding and issued several traffic tickets.
