The former officer in charge of the Hamburg Police Department was mandated to resign from his position as a police officer. According to the New Jersey Herald, George Gunderman was facing six charges after allegedly altering time records, stealing electronics and stealing the proceeds from the Franklin Fire Department's annual spaghetti dinner.

The 41-year-old was accepted into the state's pre-trial intervention program and as a condition of enrolling into the program he was required to resign. If Gunderman completes all the conditions of the program the charges against him will be dismissed.
