Man Facing Charges After Spitting at Police Officer Outside of Sparta Lanes

A Sparta man is facing charges after he allegedly spit at a police officer on Thursday night. According to the New Jersey Herald, officers responded to a report of a disorderly intoxicated patron at Sparta Lanes around 8pm. William Hagany was reportedly yelling profanities at other patrons and refused to listen to the officers.

The 26-year-old allegedly spit on Officer Matt Pletcher when they tried to get him in a patrol car. Hagany is facing charges that include disorderly conduct, throwing a bodily fluid on a law enforcement officer, and obstruction for refusing to provide fingerprints.
