A traffic stop in Sparta led to the arrest of a Branchville woman for possession of crack cocaine. According to the New Jersey Herald, an off-duty officer noticed a passenger in a white Mercury sedan smoking an unknown substance from a soda can on Thursday night, April 25. When an officer later stopped the vehicle, he noticed the soda can at the feet of passenger Elizabeth Headley while he was speaking to the driver.

The 41-year-old reportedly pulled an empty bag from her bra and told the officer that she had more cocaine in her purse. Police found seven small bags of crack cocaine, two glass smoking stems and a copper scouring pad in her possession.
