Woodstock 50 Investor Says Festival is Cancelled, Organizers Say Otherwise

Woodstock 50 has been cancelled, according to Billboard. Dentsu Aegis Network’s Amplifi Live, a financial partner of Woodstock 50, has allegedly decided to cancel the festival in Watkins Glen, NY because they "don't believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worth of the Woodstock Brand name."

Apparently concerns about capacity, site readiness, and permits are what led to their decision but, organizers of the festival are denying the festival has been cancelled. Schuyler County Administrator Tim O'Hearn told the Poughkeepsie Journal that he received notification of the event being cancelled but a statement from Woodstock 50 said, "Woodstock 50 vehemently denies the festival's cancellation and legal remedy will (be) sought."
