Three Injured in Jefferson Crash on Saturday, Charges Pending

Three people were injured in a two-car crash in Jefferson on Saturday. According to the New Jersey Herald, Naiomy Rivera, of Somerset, was driving east on Berkshire Valley Road with a 15-year-old passenger when she tried to pass another car.

The 18-year-old reportedly struck a Honda driven by Sajad Akbar, of Warwick and all three people were taken to Saint Clare's hospitals with serious injuries. The Milton First Aid Squad, Jefferson Rescue Squad, Jefferson Township Fire Department, and Jefferson Township Office of Emergency Management assisted at the scene of the accident.

The crash is currently being investigated by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and Morris County Sheriff's Office, with Jefferson Police Corporal Rodger Davis and Jefferson Detective Sgt. Sean Krater. Police told the New Jersey Herald that charges are currently pending.
