A former Andover resident who drove drunk with her son and his teammates has been sentenced to probation. According to the New Jersey Herald, Ruth Hook, of Lafayette, was sentenced to two years probation in exchange for pleading guilty to third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and driving while under the influence.
The 45-year-old's sentence will reportedly run concurrent with her current term of probation which she was sentenced to in 2016 after admitting to stealing nearly $100,000 from a family that employed her as a caretaker.
In addition to probation, Hook must complete 12 hours of Intoxicated Driver Resource Center classes, pay $689 in fines, refrain from drinking alcohol and attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
