Newton Teenager Dies, 3 Others Injured in Crash on Saturday

A Newton teenager died and three others were injured in a car crash this weekend. According to the New Jersey Herald, 17-year-old Alexis Faye, daughter of Newton Board of Education member Joan Faye, was reported dead at the scene of the crash.

Faye was a passenger in a Mercedes-Benz that went off Greendale Road after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The driver, Anthony Burke, and two other passengers, Maria Fiore and Nicholas Chavarria, were taken to Morristown Medical Center. Burke, 17, and Fiore, 16, were reportedly flown by medical helicopter and Chavarria, 17, was taken by ambulance.

Their conditions are unknown at this time.
