An Ogdensburg man died yesterday morning after suffering a possible medical emergency which caused his car to hit another oncoming vehicle on Newton Sparta Road. According to the New Jersey Herald, John E. Kidd was pronounced dead at Newton Medical Center shortly after the accident.

An investigation reportedly found that Kidd's car went into the other lane and sideswiped a Toyota Camry driven by Sharon Richardt, of Panther Valley, before stopping against a guardrail.

Andover Township Police Chief Eric Danielson told the New Jersey Herald that it's believed the 83-year-old's death was caused by the medical emergency and not the car accident.
