The Hopatcong Animal Shelter, previously the Hopatcong Municipal Pound, has reopened after months of renovations. According to the New Jersey Herald, the animals will be moved from their temporary housing at the Hodes Veterinary Group in Mine Hill to the 800-square-foot facility by the end of the week.

The renovations included replacing the building's roof, electrical upgrades, and creating an office/reception area.

Anyone interested in adopting from the Hopatcong Animal Shelter can check out their Facebook page or call Animal Control Officer Gianna Di Matteo at 973-398-0550 or at the Hopatcong Police Station at 973-770-1200, ext. 100.
