10 Back-to-School Hacks for Students and Parents

Going back to school can be stressful for students and their parents. Make your daily school year routine a breeze with these 10 helpful hacks.

1.Plan the Year Out - Use a laminated calendar to plan out when your child has practice, events or to keep track of when school assignments are due.

2.Create Entryway Cubbies - Give your kid a place to put their backpack, jacket, shoes, etc. when they get home. It will (hopefully) encourage them not to drop things on the floor as soon as they get in the front door.

3.Create a Daily Routine - This is a great way to keep your child on track before and after school. Once they complete the list they can have a reward, like screen time.

4.Create a Reusable Water Bottle Station - Instead of searching for a bottle in the back of a cabinet, use a shoe organizer to keep your reusable water bottles organized.

5.Make a Homework Caddy - This will give your kid everything they need to get their work done in one easy to reach spot.

6.Plan out a Week's Worth of Outfits - Make getting ready for school quick with this creative way to pre-plan outfits.

7.Assembly-Line Lunches - Using labeled containers and a bit of organization, your kid will be able to help prep their daily lunches.

8.Color-code your Clock - Help your kids keep track of time and tasks with this color-coded clock hack.

9.Create a Command Center - Dedicate one area of your house to your kid's school stuff and help keep them on track with visual reminders.

10.Plan for Posterity - It's inevitable that your child will bring home a project, assignment or award that you'll want to keep. Instead of throwing everything haphazardly in a box or drawer, use labeled pouches to keep everything organized.
