Bad news for Jets fans. Quarterback Sam Darnold will miss multiple games after being diagnosed with mononucleosis. According to ESPN, Trevor Siemian will start Monday night against the Cleveland Browns.

Coach Adam Gase told ESPN it's a "good thing" the teams bye week falls in Week 4 as Darnold's earliest return is Week 5 in their game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Earlier this week the Jets lost their starting wide receiver Quincy Enunwa due to a season-ending neck injury and running back Le'Veon Bell will have an MRI Thursday to check out shoulder soreness.
