Sussex Borough is offering free radon testing kits to residents as part of Radon Action Month. According to the New Jersey Herald, the borough will provide radon information at the Municipal Building at 2 Main Street and at Sussex Day on October 20.
A limited number of radon test kits will be available to Sussex Borough residents at no charge and they can pick one up when they show proof of residency.
“Approximately 34% of homes in Sussex Borough are predicted to be above the acceptable limits for radon," said Mayor Katherine Little in a press release. “We would like to see as many homes tested as possible, to reduce the radon risk in Sussex Borough.”
