A Vernon man allegedly asked local farms if he could have sex with farm animals and when his request was denied he harassed the owners and left tire spikes on the properties. According to the New Jersey Herald, Richard Decker is facing 22 indictable offenses and several disorderly persons offenses stemming from incidents that occurred between August 2018 and October of this year.
In addition to leaving metal tire deflation devices in driveways, Decker reportedly threatened to beat one man's wife with a wooden stick. During a search of the home Decker resides in, police allegedly found two arrows attached explosives and flash powder, a manufactured a .22-caliber firearm, and several of the tire spikes.
The 31-year-old is being held in the Morris County Jail pending trial and facing charges that include second-degree possession of explosives, second-degree possession of a destructive device to use unlawfully, and fourth-degree procuring an animal in any kind of sexual manner or initiate any sexual conduct with an animal.
