Man Injured While Breaking Up Dog Fight in Allamuchy

A Hackettstown man was injured while breaking up a fight between his German shepherd and an unleashed mastiff in Allamuchy. According to the New Jersey Herald, 50-year-old Nelson Cardona-Rendon was bitten on the buttocks by the mastiff while attempting to get his dog into his car.

Allamuchy Township Clerk Anne Marie Tracy told the newspaper that the 34-year-old owner of the mastiff, Thomas Cerezo, could be facing several infractions but as of now no summonses have been issued. Meanwhile, Lt. Theodore Shafer said State Police are not issuing any summonses.
