Vernon, High Point, Byram & More Schools Extend Closures Due to COVID-19

With COVID-19 continuing to spread throughout the country and New Jersey on lockdown, local schools have started to announce plans to extend their closures into April. The following schools have all extended their closures:

Byram Township School District is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Fredon Township School District says they'll most likely be closed through at least April 20th.

Green Township School District is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Hamburg School District is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Hardyston Township Public School District is closed until April 20th.

High Point Regional School District is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Montague Township School District is closed until April 20th.

Newton Public Schools are closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Ogdensburg Borough School District is closed until April 20th.

Sandyston-Walpack Consolidated School is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Sparta Township Public School District is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Stillwater Township School District says they'll most likely be closed until April 20th.

Sussex County Technical School is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Sussex-Wantage Regional School District is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break.

Vernon Township School District is closed through April 9th, followed by spring break unless the school district decides to continue virtual learning through spring break so school can end earlier in June.

Wallkill Valley Regional High School is closed until April 20th.
