New Jersey reported 2,492 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, March 26th bringing the statewide total to at least 6,876 with 81 deaths. According to NJ.com, it's the state's largest single-day increase since the outbreak.

To combat the spread of coronavirus Murphy announced a statewide curfew and executive orders shutting down non-essential businesses. According to NJ.com, the list of essential businesses that can still operate includes: grocery stores, liquor stores, pharmacies, home improvement, restaurants that offer takeout, manufacturing, industrial, logistics, ports, heavy construction, shipping, food production, food delivery, and other commercial operations. Medical facilities where a sick or injured person is given care or treatment, like as doctor’s offices, hospitals, dentist offices, long-term care facilities, and other medical offices can also still operate.

It's important now more than ever that we support local businesses. Check out this list of tri-state area restaurants open for delivery and take-out and consider ordering from them during this time.
