New Jersey Reaches 1,003 COVID-19 Deaths and 41,090 Total Cases

New Jersey reported more than 3,500 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, April 6th bringing the statewide total to at least 41,090 with 1,003 deaths. According to NJ.com, the peak of the outbreak still likely weeks away.

As of 6pm on Saturday, April 4th there are 230 cases in Sussex County and 9 deaths.

Right now only essential businesses are allowed to operate in New Jersey and a statewide curfew is in effect. According to NJ.com, the list of essential businesses that can still operate includes: grocery stores, liquor stores, pharmacies, home improvement, restaurants that offer takeout, medical facilities and more.
