Vernon Township has prohibited short term rentals amid the COVID-19 outbreak. According to the Office of Emergency Management, the order takes effect at 8pm tonight, Monday April 6th and applies to all transient, seasonal and short term rentals. This includes rentals by hotels, motels, and the rental of guest houses and private homes.

The administrative order notes that an influx of people in Vernon may overtax health care facilities & emergency services and could increase the spread of COVID-19.
