Former Glenwood Pochuck EMS Captain Sentenced for Sexual Assault of Teen

A former captain of the Glenwood Pochuck Ambulance Corps in Vernon has been sentenced to seven years in prison for sexually assaulting a teen cadet. According to the New Jersey Herald, Colin Skeele began a relationship with the female recruit in 2014 when she was 16 and he was 30.

He allegedly called the girl a "friend" and believed the relationship was "consensual."

The 34-year-old's sentence will reportedly run concurrent with the 15 years he is currently serving in federal prison for soliciting and distributing child pornography. Skeele allegedly solicited the photographs while working as a counselor at an all-boys camp in Hardwick.

In addition to prison time Skeele will be on parole supervision for life, must register as a sex offender and is barred from having unsupervised contact with minors.
